Terms of Service

Welcome to CaptainTrade.io ("CaptainTrade", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using any part of the platform you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. What we provide

CaptainTrade is an education and tooling platform for traders. We offer algorithm scripts, signal routing, paper trading, charts, an AI assistant ("Captain AI"), a community, and educational content. We do not provide investment advice and we are not a registered broker, financial adviser, or exchange.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for complying with all local laws when using the platform.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for the security of your account, your password, and any webhook tokens issued to you. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a security risk.

4. No financial advice

Nothing on CaptainTrade is personal financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Algos, signals, indicators, AI output, scans, market commentary, and any other content are educational and informational only. You are solely responsible for your own trading decisions and their consequences. See our Risk Disclaimer for more.

5. Paper trading and live trading

By default the platform routes orders to paper accounts. Any live broker integration you enable is at your own risk. Past performance, backtests, and paper trading results do not guarantee future results.

6. Membership and payments

Paid plans are billed in advance for the period you choose. Plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account. See our Refund Policy for refund eligibility.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell access to the platform.
• Share your account, algos, or paid content with others.
• Use the platform to abuse, harass, defraud, or spam other users.
• Submit unlawful, infringing, or malicious content.

8. Intellectual property

All CaptainTrade software, algos, branding, course content, and AI prompts remain our property or that of our licensors. You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use them for your own personal trading while your account is in good standing.

9. Third-party services

The platform integrates with third parties such as TradingView, brokers, payment processors, and email providers. We are not responsible for outages, errors, or losses caused by those services.

10. Disclaimers and liability

The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CaptainTrade is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or trading losses arising from your use of the platform. Our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
